Global citizenship is one of the honors competencies that should be fulfilled by honors students. In August 2019, I travelled out of my home country Zambia. This was my first time travelling out of my home country. I have always been so curious to learn about other peoples cultures so this was exciting for me. The united states happened to be the first countries I visited. In my honors 375 class, I wrote a global citizenship reflection paper on how my transition from the my home country to the US was. Language partner program

I joined the Language Partners program in the spring of 2022. Each Intensive English program student was paired with a student already proficient in English so they can each learn something from one’s culture. I was partnered up with a Japanese male student. In this case, we were learning about the cultural differences between Japan and the US
